Dr. Lalzirmawia Chhangte, a newly appointed IAS (AGMUT Cadre) by promotion from Mizoram Civil Service join his new post to hold the Deputy Commissioner Serchhip today.

Dr. Lalzirmawia Chhangte was born in 1965 at Tarpho, Lunglei district then (Now Hnahthial) and his educational qualifications are M.A, LL.B., B.C.S. PG Dip. in Pub. Admn.,D.Min. He joined MCS Service in 1991 and held a number of offices during his service; Director, Sports & Youth Services, Secretary, MPSC, Secretary P&E and Art & Culture are some of the most popular offices held during his MCS days. On 3rd December, 2019 he is given a Indian Administrative Service (AGMUT) appointment by promotion, consequent upon his appointment, the Government of Mizoram, Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms issue a notification for his posting to Serchhip Deputy Commissioner on 23rd December, 2019.
