She expressed satisfaction that the publication of the draft electoral roll had been completed on schedule following the successful completion of pre-mapping, printing, distribution, collection and verification of Enumeration Forms (EFs).

The DEO thanked all stakeholders, including Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), the Election Branch, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Assistant BLOs, Supervisors, Booth Level Agents (BLAs), Local and Village Councils, recognised political parties, voluntary organisations such as YMA, MHIP and MUP, the media and the general public for their cooperation. These comprise 2,224 deceased electors, 1,412 permanently shifted electors, 160 duplicate registrations, 410 absent electors, and 23 cases under other reasons, including those unwilling to remain enrolled.

Of the 98,808 electors included in the draft roll, 39,041 electors had their own names appearing in the 2005 SIR records, while 57,506 electors were linked through the names of their parents. Another 2,261 electors could not be mapped either through their own names or those of their family members. These electors will be informed to submit the required supporting documents and appear before the concerned EROs or AEROs for verification.

Eligible Indian citizens who have attained the age of 18 years on or before 1 July 2026 (born on or before 1 July 2008) may submit applications for fresh enrolment, deletion, correction or transposition of entries until 4 August 2026 through their respective BLOs or directly to the concerned EROs. After all claims and objections are disposed of in accordance with the law, the Final Electoral Roll is scheduled to be published on 6 September 2026.
