Dated Serchhip, the 22nd March, 2024: The Expenditure Observer for Serchhip District Anita Ritesh today visited Serchhip District Election Office and held a meeting with all the members of the Expenditure Monitoring team appointed for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at DC Meeting Hall Serchhip.

During the meeting, Pi Anita Ritesh emphasized that Mizoram is known for its peaceful conduct of elections and urged all election duty personnel to carry out their responsibilities diligently until the conclusion of the election process. She assured the team of her accessibility throughout the election period, encouraging them to reach out with any queries or concerns. Additionally, she underscored the importance of professionalism among team members, reminding them of their service's significance to the nation and its welfare.

The Expenditure Observer meticulously detailed instructions concerning the roles and responsibilities of the team for the upcoming election. In evaluating the preparations and status of each team, she emphasized the critical importance of maintaining precise records and adhering strictly to ECI guidelines for tracking expenditures. Stressing the importance of dedication to duty, she highlighted the essential need for seamless coordination among the various teams to ensure effective oversight of expenditures.

The meeting was attended by Election Expenditure Monitoring Nodal Officers, Asst. Expenditure Observer, Accounting Team, MCMC Team, Video Viewing Team, Flying Squad Team and Static Surveillance Team were present. They also discussed the audit of campaign expenditure during the election and the measures taken to prevent violation of MCC.
