182/2026-2027
Dated Serchhip, 17th June 2026: Under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, the digitisation of Enumeration Forms in Serchhip District was successfully completed late on 17 June 2026.
Serchhip District comprises three Assembly Constituencies—26-Serchhip (ST), 27-Tuikum (ST), and 28-Hrangturzo (ST)—with a total of 55,389 electors. Of these, 1,184 cases were identified as uncollectable, including deceased electors, untraceable or absent persons, permanently shifted voters, duplicate entries, and individuals who refused to sign the Enumeration Form (EF).
Beginning on 30 May 2026, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) undertook door-to-door distribution of Enumeration Forms. Despite challenging weather conditions, difficult terrain, scattered habitations, and other logistical constraints, the BLOs made every effort to ensure that no household was left uncovered. The collection, verification, and digitisation of the forms were successfully completed on 17 June 2026.
The District Election Officer Paul L. Khuma, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their contributions towards the successful conduct of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the Election Branch staff, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Booth Level Agents (BLAs), media, community leaders, and all stakeholders for their valuable support and cooperation.
