Excise & Narcotics Department Minister Dr. K. Beichhua  set on fire   seized package of drugs, consisting of Heroine No.4 and various  psychitropic Pills abused as intoxicating  substances. Mara  Thyutlia Py( Mara youth Organisation), Siaha Vaihpi Branch seized these drugs from many peddlers and they also seized  234 bottles of IMFL and  10 litres of local hooch. Drugs and liquors destroyed yesterday  worth Rs.5.5 lakhs  by local rate. A brief function was held, prior to setting ablaze seized drugs and liqours by the Minister, at the frontyard of MTP, Siaha Vaihpi Branch office, here at Siaha,Yesterday.

Speaking on this occassion; Minister firmly reiterated that he had been fighting drugs as an NGO's leader before, and now he will  continue fighting it as politician, he will not slow down or back down, leave alone reconsidering his war against drugs drives due to some sporadic criticisms or slanders posted on social media by certain vested interest  peoples.

He reminded members of MTP  to hold their feet firm on ground no matter what bouquets and brickbats come their way, they should never lose their focus and goal.He also advised members of MTP to work in tandem with Excise & Narcotics  officials in order to avoid any legally untoward incidents.

Minister also, in morning hour  inspected on going resurfacing works of Siaha Town internal Road  by PWD,Siaha Division. He also surveyed the feasibility of widening internal road wherever it is found to be congested. Minister firmly informed concern officials and joint village council members who accompanied him, that no time for IF's and BUT's, what need to be done must be done by hook or by crook with all our concerted efforts and we will leave no stone unturned in seeing our congested road gets widen. For that, even if we couldn't get fund from government, i'm sure that Siaha towners will  surely step forward to help me in this endeavour and somehow we will achieve  this seemingly herculean task, he added.

In his inspection tour,Minister was accompanied by MDCs, Joint VC members,MJA and many head of offices  including DC and SP.
