Mamit District Health Care Workers gets its first doses of the much awaited Covid-19 Vaccine starting from today at District Hospital Mamit, the first Immunization Session site identified by Medical officials.

Dr. Vanlalfela, Chief Medical Officer, Mamit District is the first beneficiary to receive the Vaccine from Mamit District. As per his account CMO Mamit stated that nothing untoward has occured within his body system after getting the vaccine. It was normal with no Adverse Event Following Immunization ( AEFI) for which the session site vaccination team were all equipped to deal with such AEFI. He hope that the vaccination process goes well in the District and urge the people to lay their confidence on the Vaccine when the their tern for vaccination comes.

A target of 124 beneficiaries from District Hospital Mamit, Main Centre, Mamit and Sub-Centres of nearby Mamit Town Health Care Workers are the targetted beneficiaries of today's vaccination roll out, stated Mr. Lalmuanawma Jongte, SMO and District Immunization Officer.

Total dose of 450 numbers have been received by Mamit District from the Goverment for its first doses which is specifically meant for District Health Care Workers. Mr. R. Lalmuankima, State Consultant UNICEF was also present at the session site to witness the role out of the vaccine for the District.
