Expenditure Observer exhorts Bankers to be diligent in monitoring Bank Transactions

Aizawl, 22.03.2024: Expenditure Observer for Mizoram (ST) Parliamentary Constituency for upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2024 Shri Arvind Sharma reminded bankers of their responsibility for a free and fair election, and highlighted the importance of cVIGIL app in a meeting this evening at DC Conference Hall, Aizawl.

The Expenditure Observer in his meeting with representatives of various Banks within Mizoram discussed the responsibility of banks regarding submission of daily reports on suspicious transactions through the entire election season. He also queried the meeting of any case of suspicious activities in past years, of which the members replied that there have been no such cases in recent years.

Expenditure Observer Shri Arvind Sharma instructed members of the meeting to make use of cVIGIL app, citing past experiences where the app had proven to be an effective tool in the hands of people to flag election violations.
