Aizawl District Disaster Management Authority (ADDMA) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today organized Familiarization Exercise on Disaster Management at Pachhunga University College in Aizawl. The programme was attended by Pu John LT Sanga, Chief Executive Officer, ADDMA and Pu Keshnor TM, Inspector 1st Bn NDRF.

For students and members of the PUC’s Youth Adventure Club, the ADDMA’s Quick Response Team gave training on Basic First Aid and Search & Rescue which are vital for any natural disaster.

The Familiarization Exercise on Disaster Management programme is being held in Aizawl and Champhai districts with NDRF’s initiative. In Aizawl, it was started yesterday in Civil Hospital and will be included on next Monday at Sairang, Sairang Dinthar and Sihhmui.
