Floral tributes paid to Mahatma Gandhi in Mizoram

Aizawl the 2nd October, 2020: Floral tributes were paid at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi early this morning at MG Road, Aizawl by the Hon'ble Governor, Chief Minister Deputy Chief Minister and other leaders of the state on the 151st birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Zoramthanga, Deputy Chief Minister Tawnluia offered floral wreath on the occasion. Legislative Assembly Speaker and Dy Speaker, Ministers and MLAs, AMC Mayor and important officials also placed floral offering.

Celebrated yearly across the country on October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanti is one of the official declared national holidays of India, observed in all of its states and territories.
