Dated Lunglei, the 16th March: A 2 days (15^th – 16^th March 2021) Free Eye Clinic & Eye Camp jointly organized by Lunglei District Blindness Control Society (DBCS), and Eye Care Hospital Aizawl concluded successfully at Primary Health Centre, Haulawng today. 

Eye Care Hospital Aizawl owner Dr KL Remsanga and 10 other healthcare professionals attended to hundreds of patients seeking eye treatment at this free clinic. Alcon Legion Phaco Machine was used to perform cataract surgery for patients.

The Health & Family Welfare Minister of Mizoram, Dr R.Lalthangliana visited this free clinic yesterday.  Addressing a gathering of PHC workers and patients, the Health Minister thanked the organizers for their selfless act in providing free treatment to villagers and elders residing in far flung areas of the State. He also encouraged the medical fraternity of Mizoram to organize more such camps in the future. The Minister also took this opportunity to thank community leaders, NGOs, Churches and the general public for their contribution in the fight against Covid-19.
