Kolasib Dated the 17th March 2021:  Dr.H.Lalthlangliana, Deputy Commissioner held meeting with Mizoram Journalist Association, Kolasib district to discuss on the present situation and initiatives taken to contain the Covid19 pandemic.

Pointing out that it has been almost a month since the last report of a Covid19 positive case in the district saying that 20th January, 2021 was the last case of Covid19 positive reported from Kolasib town, the last case report from Vairengte was January 30th and Bairabi was February 20th. The DC also mentioned that this wonderful result was made possible only because of the cooperation and collective effort made by the general public, various departments of the Government and the media.

DC Dr.H.Lalthlangliana also pointed out that continued effort must be observed in following the present SOP being imposed and that Covid19 screening of passengers at Vairengte and Bairabi will still be carried out as long as the situation demanded it.
