Association of Surgeons of Mizoram, North East Chapter of Association of Surgeons in India, and Indian Society of Anesthesiologist-Mizoram State Branch have joined hands to organize ‘Free Surgical Camp’ at Civil Hospital Lunglei and Christian Hospital Serkawn on June 15^th & 16^th.

A team of 40 medical professionals from Aizawl including Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and supporting staff are conducting a total 23 major operations in Lunglei – 15 at Civil Hospital Lunglei and 8 at Christian Hospital Serkawn.

Lunglei HPC Vice Chairman Pu Lawmawma Tochhawng who inaugurated the Camp thanked Association of Surgeons of Mizoram, North East Chapter of Association of Surgeons in India, and Indian Society of Anesthesiologist-Mizoram State Branch for their noble initiative, and expressed hope that this would be the first of many more such initiatives to come in the future. He stated that the Government is ready to extend cooperation to the team in their various endeavours in the future.
