Dated Siaha 9th April, 2024 : In a continuing process of election preparations for the forthcoming General Election to Member of Parliament (LS) 2024, Second Randomization exercises of EVM and VVPAT was conducted through Video Conference in the presence of   Dr. Nipun Nayak (IAS) General Observer for 1- Mizoram Parliamentary Constituency at DC Mini Conference Hall here in the district captial Siaha today.

Today's Randomization process was carried out in compliance with the the instructions of Election Commission of India (ECI)  to ensure free and fair election.  Both the EVM and VVPAT were randomized by computer software applications to assigned EVM and VVPAT of their destined polling stations. The randomisation exercises was conducted through video conference from the Office of  Returning Officer, 1- Mizoram Parliamentary Constituency.

Shri. V.L. Hruaizela Khiangte, District Election Officer, chaired the randomization exercises and representatives of various political parties were present along with  Election Officials. Soon after the randomisation exercises was completed, EVM strong rooms were open in the presence of political parties to systemized EVM and VVPAT as per their randomization.

The Commissioning exercises of EVM and VVPAT will be conducted between 10th to 13th April 2024.
