Aizawl, the 19th August 2023: On yesterday (18th August 2023), the GAD, Government of Mizoram issued order that extended timeline of allotment to the occupants of selected government quarters at AinawnVeng. The order is reproduced below.
In continuation to, and in partial modification of this Department's 'Notice', issued vide No. D. 11014/1/2022-GAD(GM), Dt., 22 ndJune, 2023 the Competent Authority hereby extends the timeline scheduled to allottees of Government buildings/quarters at AinawnVeng to vacate their respective quarters i.e., 60 (sixty) days (i.e., till 22nd August, 2023) up to 31 stDecember, 2023.
This extension of timeline has been considered and given on the basis of the prayers received from the allottees as well as from the Joint NGO, and also taking into account the practical requirement of carrying out the demolition process in phases.
However, the allottees/occupants of Government buildings/quarters at AinawnVeng are hereby advised to vacate their respective quarters at the earliest without waiting for the expiry of the extended deadline for their own safety.
The extended period shall not include the occupants of the following buildings/quarters, which have been listed to be dismantled in the first phase:-
