Aizawl, the 19^th August 2023: The state government of Mizoram served final eviction notice to the occupants of government’s quarter which are verified to be unsafe for occupying through the GAD’s order dated 18^th August 2023. The order is reproduced below.

In pursuance of the decision of the meeting of the Council of Ministers dated 18^th May, 2023 and on the recommendation of the Joint Inspection Team on Government Buildings/Quarters at AinawnVeng, the following Government buildings/ quarters are hereby ordered to be dismantled in the first phase on priority basis due to the extreme deteriorated structural conditions and for the safety of the residents and surrounding areas.

The occupants of the above buildings/ quarters shall vacate without further delay. Upon completion of the first phase, the dismantling process of the remaining Government buildings/quarters at AinawnVeng shall be continued accordingly.
