Mizoram Governor Dr. Aziz Qureshi flagged off Nation Integration Tour organised by 39 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 23 Sector Assam Rifles and IGAR (E). The tour members comprises of 22 boys and girls from different parts of Mizoram and they will proceed to Delhi and Agra and returned on 25th January, 2015.

The Governor hoped that The tour will give the children an insight to the diverse culture and ethnicity of one country and will help them to play a significant role in promoting development in India as a whole and Mizoram in particular.

At Delhi the tour members will be interacting with Mr. Rajnath Singh, Home Minister and Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs. The team will also be visiting Historical Monuments like Red Fort, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Air Force Museum. They will also be experiencing the Metro Ride and in the last phase of their tour the members will be taken to Agra where they will be visiting Taj Mahal & Agra Fort.

The tour will be Flagged In by Col. Jasjit Singh, Commandant, 39 Assam Rifles on 25 January, 2015.

The tour was Flagged Off in the presence of Brig T.C. Malhotra, Cdr, 23 Sect AR and Col Jasjit Singh, Commandant, 39 Assam Rifles.
