Aizawl, the 19th February, 2025: Fourth Session cum Budget Session of the 9th Mizoram Legislative Assembly commenced today at the Legislative Assembly House in Aizawl. The Budget Session is scheduled to be held from the 19th of February, 2025 to the 20th of March, 2025.

In his address, Mizoram Governor Gen (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd) underscored the importance of Legislative Assembly's Annual Budget Session stating that, "It is not merely an accounting exercise but reflects the vision of the government for the welfare of its citizens". He expressed his belief that the discussions and deliberations in the assembly session would lead to progress for the people. In his maiden address to the state assembly session, the Governor highlighted policies and programmes being implemented by various departments of the State Government.
