Aizawl, the 15th December 2021: The leaders of Mizoram Underground Returnees Association (MURA), as they requested, had an audience with Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at the Raj Bhavan, Aizawl this forenoon.

MURA leader in their interview with the Governor submitted their representation seeking his intervention in order to get the attention they felt necessary for addressing their grievances. They introduced themselves to the Governor as the former freedom fighters when went underground as the fighters of MNF but came out just before the Mizoram Peace Accord, 1986. They alleged that welfare schemes under Peace Accord excluded them and for that reason, they had been neglected.

After going through their representation and their narrative, Governor Hari Babu assured them that he will look into the matter and seek out what can be done from the state government side. Governor Hari Babu also decided to extend financial assistance, as requested, to the selected families of MURA who are now in dire need of assistance.

Pu PC Lalthuama, President, Pu R.Vanlalvena, General Secretary and other executive members represented MURA in their interview with Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, today at the Raj Bhavan.
