Aizawl 15th December 2021: Under the Chairmanship of Dr.H.Lalthlangliana, Deputy Commissioner, Kolasib district, a meeting of District Task Force on Immunization was held in his office chamber today, where it was reported that 92.27% (covering 51210 individuals above 18 years) have received 1st Dose of Covid-19 Vaccine and 76.38% out of the 51210 have received the 2nd Dose as well.

Meanwhile, as per the targeted population of 55499, 4289 have not received the vaccine yet. Measures such as Booth Vaccination and Door to Door vaccination under Har Ghar Dastak programme are being implemented to cover the remaining population. It was also reported in the meeting that Kolasib District has been awarded the best performing district in implementing District TB Preventive Programme for the 2nd & 3rd quarter of 2021. It was also proposed that Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme for the year 2022 will commence on 25th January 2022 with a target population of 9490.
