Aizawl, the 11th November 2022: Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati visited Mamit District Hospital and interacted with the medical officers and staff. He inspected the ongoing construction works of the permanent campus of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya(JNV). He also visited the temporary campus of JNV where he interacted with the teachers and students.
At the District Hospital Dr. Lalzuatliana, Deputy Medical Superintendent, and other medical officers gave briefings on the activities, achievements, and requirements for strengthening the hospitals. Governor shared his thoughts on how to provide better healthcare services to the district population. He urged the medical officers and staff to try to keep improving with whatever facilities they are having at present.
After he inspected the ongoing works for the construction of the JNV permanent campus, he discussed the work progress with the supervising engineers at the spot. Governor felt that the work progress is very slow. He urged the engineers and contractors to speed up their work to ensure they finish it by the revised estimated date of completion(June 30, 2022). He also suggested frequent coordination meetings under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner to facilitate faster work progress of this project.
Governor was then given a reception at Multipurpose Hall, JNV temporary campus. Here, Governor, in his address to the students and the teachers stressed the important role the JNV schools play in delivering quality education. He congratulated the students and remind them of how fortunate they are to have enrolled in a distinguished school like JNV. He believed that the three languages formula(English, Hindi, and Mizo language) used in JNV would give competitive edge to their students over other schools where only one language is used as a medium of instruction.
Pu Lalnunhlua, Deputy Commissioner, and Pi Lalthangpuii Pulamte, SP, Mamit and other senior officials provided supports to Govenor in his visits of hispital and school today.
