Aizawl, the 6th December 2021 : Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati today had a meeting with senior executives of Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and  Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) where he was briefed on the status of petroleum products and LPG demand in the state, expansion plans of oil companies and constraints and problems faced in this regard. Secretary, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Pu Zothankhuma and Director Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Pi Ramdinliani were also present at the meeting.

Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati pointed that the purpose of the meeting was to have an overall glimpse of the operation of oil marketing companies in the state and to know the activities, development and expansion plans and constraints, if any faced by them and to discuss how such hurdles could be overcome. After the presentations by executives of the oil companies, the Governor asked the oil companies to explore ways of expanding the home delivery system of LPG cylinders in Aizawl and District Headquarters. He also mentioned Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUJ) should be accorded importance and to ensure identification of more beneficiaries, they must work in close cooperation with District authorities so that people, who need it the most, can be benefitted.
