Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai formally addressed the Seventh Session of the Eighth Mizoram Legislative Assembly today. On 01.03.2021 (Monday), the Annual Budget 2021 – 22 will be presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Zoramthanga, who is also the Finance Minister. In this session, the Assembly will be sitting for 16 days from 22nd February to 17th March 2021.
In his opening remarks, the Governor expressed his pleasure in addressing the Third Budget Session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly, which is also the first Session in the year 2021. On this occasion, he had also extended warm greetings to the people of Mizoram and invited everyone to ahead for a new era of growth and prosperity. He gave an assurance that his government remained committed to peace and addressing the needs and demands of the people, as it was seen even during the hardest times we had faced in the last year. At the same time, he had applauded the people of Mizoram for their character, strength and resilience during the harshest time. After congratulating the current government under the leadership of Chief Minister Zoramthanga for having successfully navigated the state through the trying times of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Governor then proceeded to highlight a brief outline of the achievements and visions of the government of Mizoram
