A meeting of Head of Offices of various Departments within Lunglei District was convened on Friday (06/12/2019) at the Lunglei DC Conference Hall under the Chairmanship of Lunglei DC Pi K.Lalrinzuali.

Speaking at the meeting, Pi K.Lalrinzuali thanked and congratulated the officials for their hard work and dedication, which she said, was key in ensuring a smooth functioning of the District machinery. Reminding the officials to always put welfare of the public first, she encouraged them to always work in proper coordination so as to avoid duplication of work to best utilize public funds. Talking about the issue of unauthorized villages within Tlabung Sub Division, the Deputy Commissioner informed the gathering that the sensitive matter was being handled by the District Level Screening Committee at present, and that no Government initiatives/interventions or projects should be undertaken by any Department in these villages. She also reminded the officials to immediately reach out to the District administration in case of any issues faced while carrying out their respective works.

Various Head of Offices took the opportunity to report their achievements and also share their problems and issues. After a fruitful discussion and deliberation, the group headed to the DC Bungalow for a dinner hosted by the DC Office.
