The Health Family Welfare Minister Dr R Lalthangliana on 19th October, 2019 (Saturday) inaugurated the newly constructed Thingsai Primary Health Centre in the presence of Dr ZR Thiamsanga, MLA, Vice Chairman Health & Family Welfare Board, Pu C. Ramhluna, Ex-MLA & Vice Chairman, Industrial Development Board, Pu C. Lalrammawia, Chairman ZOHANDCO, Hnahthial DC Pu Vanlalmawia, Hnahthial SP, Lunglei CMO Dr Thani Pachuau, other officials and members of the public.

Constructed at a cost of Rs. 108.97 lakhs, the newly inaugurated PHC is an RCC Building with a Plinth Area 469.53 Square Metres and is equipped with Male ward (3 beds), female ward (3 beds), XRay Room, Dark Room, Laboratory Room, Dispensary, Consultation room, waiting area, office, Delivery room, sterile room, kitchen, Nurse station, Minor OT, Dry Zone etc. Dr Betty Laldintluangi has been posted as Medical Officer for Thingsai PHC. She is assisted by a staff of 3 nurses and two 4th grade employees.

Speaking at the inaugural function, the Minister informed the gathering that Thingsai PHC is one of the key infrastructure developments under the newly formed Hnahthial District. Inviting the community members to make good use of the PHC, he reminded them to strive to improve in various health related aspects including cleanliness and sanitation.
