At the initiative of the State Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr.R.Lalthangliana, in order to ease the existing conditions for OPD patients in government hospitals, the Health & Family Welfare Department issued an Order yesterday, ie.11th September, 2019, instructing all District Government Hospitals, State Referral Hospital at Falkawn, Kulikawn Hospital and the Mizoram State Cancer Institute at Zemabawk to remain open for patients from 9:00AM to 3:00PM every day of the week, except on second Saturdays of every month.

All OPDs in government hospitals shall remain closed on the second Saturday of every month. On all other Saturdays, OPDs must remain open for patients during normal working hours, ie. from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

OPD Cards will be issued from 9:00AM to 1:PM every working day. Any patient carrying an old or new OPD Card, with a proper registration number, should not be rejected.

All Doctors on duty in the OPD are to hereby strictly adhere to the instructions given in this Order, and failing to do so may invite disciplinary action as provided under law.
