Mizoram Police wants to place on record our heartfelt appreciation to the public, NGO's,MKHC, media, all political parties and other election stakeholders for ensuring free and fair election on November 28, 2018. The roles and activities played by MPF in ensuring compliance of ECI Guidelines deserve the highest accolades.

The outstanding commitment, special drives and professionalism shown by all District SP and Election Officials for ensuring free, fair and peaceful election is highly commendable. The peaceful democratic behaviour shown by the public is unparalleled anywhere in the country. Mizoram Police Chief Pu Balaji Srivastava IPS, DGP Mizoram placed on record his heartfelt appreciation to all police officials on duty during the election for maintaining law and order without any untoward incidents. It fills us with immense pleasure in learning that voters could peacefully exercise their franchise in all the 1164 Polling Stations and 15 Special Polling Stations established for Bru Voters at Kanhmun, Mamit District. The active participation and cooperation with media persons for ensuring free, fair and peaceful elections undoubtedly deserve special mention.

 As the election process is not yet over, all the EVM Strong Rooms in all districts are under security of CAPF, SAP and MRP and counting of votes will be held on December 11, 2018. Mizoram Police appeals the public, NGO's, MKHC, MPF, media, political parties and all stakeholders to work together with Mizoram Police to ensure that counting and all electoral processes are conducted peacefully.
