HUGE QUANTITY OF HEROIN NO 4 SEIZED BY EXCISE & NARCOTICS DEPTT., SERCHHIP DISTRICT

Dated Serchhip, the 13th June, 2022: The Excise & Narcotics Department (END), Serchhip District recovered 255.66 grams of Heroin No.4 valued Rs 5 lakhs approx at local market and Rs 1.25 crores at International market rate on 11.6.2022 (Saturday). While pursuing specific input the END of Serchhip on duty at Dawngzawl near BSF camp 5/6 km away from Serchhip (between Keitum and Serchhip ) recovered 255.66 gram of heroin No 4 kept in 20 soap cases from a Lunglei bound maxi cab plying between Champhai and Lunglei bearing Reg no MZ 06/1654.

In this connection the drug trafficker, Ms Lalhruaizeli (23) d/o Pumlamthang (L), Vapar village, Champhai district, present address Bethel veng, Champhai is also arrested. A case is registered against her vide case no. SES 141/2022 of 12.6.22 u/s 21(C) of NDPS Act 85.

The accused Lalhruaizeli has been produced before the court on 12.6.22 (Sunday)
