Mr. S.Hiato, Minister, Industries,etc has formally inaugurated Rs 1.5 Crore Project Computer Aided Design(CAD) Centre  and Capacity Building Training(CBT) Centre at a function held at 11:30 AM in the conference hall of Directorate of Industries, Mizoram, today. The project has been implemented previously by C-DAC in other states with the sponsor being Union Ministry of Information Technology. C-DAC, Kolkata is given the task of co-ordination and implementing the said programmes in Mizoram. Under CAD scheme and CBT scheme 20 and 40 master trainers respectively will be provided with 6 months intensive training under the supervision of C-DAC. The master trainers so recruited will look after the continuation of the training programmes to carried out later on. The inaugural function was presided over by Mr.R.L.Rinawma, IRS, Commissioner/Secretary, Industries Department. Mr Shurbir Singh, IAS, Director, Industries, Col A.K.Nath(Retd), Executive Director, C-DAC and other officials besides the selected trainees were present at the function.
