Adventure activities have always been a part of military life. Irrespective of the location troops of Indian Army have always taken part in challenging pursuits to maintain the spirit of adventure within them. Adventure activities certainly help in developing the leadership qualities like physical fitness and mental robustness and such experience definitely imparts some learning for the personnel involved in it. Cave expedition is one such adventure activity in which the dark and deep surfaces of caves will not only add to the degree of adventure, but will also be a unique exposure to the archeological and geological sites present in the north eastern part of our nation.

Indian army expedition team comprising of officers, junior commissioned officers and other ranks of 10 ASSAM Regiment is a part of 24 Mountain Brigade located in Umroi cantt Barapani (Meghalaya). The Team after exploring the caves of jyantia and khasi hills has reached Mizoram on 7th February, the team during its stay in Mizoram will be visiting village Mamte near Lunglei, village Farkawn and Vaphai towards East and Pukzing towards West. Apart from exploring the archeological heritage sites they will also be interacting with village headman and locals.
