Over 700 Cubs & Bulbuls, Scouts & Guides, Rovers & Rangers, Commissioners took part in “Peace Run” organised by Sports & Youth Services Department to commemorate International Day of peace & 150 Years of Celebrating the Mahatma & World Clean Up Day in Aizawl last Saturday.

Pu Zohmingthanga, District Chief Commissioner, Aizawl flagged off the “Peace Run” from Chanmari Veng junction at 7:00 AM and was concluded at PC Girls’ School, Mission Veng wherein a small function was organised to mark the event. Pi Lalzarmawii, State Commissioner (Guide) & Director, School Education department, who graced the function as chief guest, urged the participants to continue their campaigns against climate change and to keep on creating awareness on the importance of conservation of biodiversity and  hygienic living.
