A twenty member team of I&PR officers and members of the Mizoram Journalists Association left Aizawl today for New Delhi to attend a training programme at the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training (BPST), Lok Sabha Secretariat. Information and Public Relations Minister Shri Lalruatkima flagged off the team after a short programme held at the office chamber of the Director, I&PR.

Shri Lalruatkima said that the government of Mizoram acknowledges the crucial role played by the media in spreading information relating to government programmes and schemes to facilitate participation of the people in development activities. He urged the participants to fully utilize the training as an opportunity to learn and bring about positive changes in the mindset of the people back home through their reports and writings.

Shri Lalramliana Chawngte, Joint Director, I&PR led the team which includes five officers from the Department of I&PR along with 15 members from the Mizoram Journalists Association. The Training Programme in Parliamentary Processes and Procedures for Media Personnel will be conducted from 25th September to 27th September at BPST in New Delhi.
