A group of young 17 Indian Police Service (IPS) Probationers from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, who are on tour to the North East had an interaction with the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram Shri Kummanam Rajasekharan today at Raj Bhavan. 

Governor said that his experience in Mizoram has been little and was in the process of learning more about the state. However, he shared with them his views on the State and the people, terming the civil society as vibrant, the people having a great civic sense and being particular in protecting the environment. They discussed about the potential of tourism in Mizoram and the major hurdles that needed to be cleared in becoming a tourist destination. He expressed his concern for higher education of students, health, disaster preparedness and mitigation in the State. He also said that the diversity of the probationers from different states go on to show the national integration, and wished them well for their future endeavours.
