Altogether 57 Farmers selected by Watershed Committee from Khawzawl and Ngaizawl  under Champhai -III Project were handed over Water Pipes  through  Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP)/Pradhan Matri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY). Khawzawl BDO Dr. Saithangpuia,  Project Implementing Agency (PIA) distributed the Water Pipes.

 Dr. Saithangpuia  told the beneficiaries to utilise  the water pipes in a purposeful way,  take prompt initiative to conserve  water and its sources. He urged the beneficiaries to work harder, reply the input made by government through many welfare schemes with successes.

Khawzawl Watershed Committee Chairman Pu Tawklinga gave report on selection criteria.  At  today’s programme,  110 Water Pipe Rolls were  handed over to 57 farmers, 47 from Khawzawl and 10 from Ngaizawl Village
