JAL SHAKTI ABHIYAN MELA-2019 for TIPA RD BLOCK was held at MTP Hall,Tipa 'V' , at Tipa Town. The JSA MELA-2019 was held under the aegis of   Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) ,Siaha District.

 Shri. F. Lawmkima, EM(Forest), MADC and  Shri. James Lalnithanga,BDO Tipa RD Block  benignly graced the MELA as Chief guest and Guest of Honour respectively.

Speaking at the occassion ,Chief guest Pu F. Lawmkima lamented that we, ourselves made our district a water stressed district, we did not love and care enough our flora & fauna. We live recklessly and unmindful to our  nature, Forest, rivers etc and now we were at the receiving end of nature's fury. "Let's considered JSA as a clarion call to wake us up from  our indiferrence  towards nature, our forest, rivers, green vegetation,etc. and gear up to mend our wrong doings. What had happened due to our doings in the past must be healed by our doings of today's.

So let us all come together and  tackle  our water scarcity problem head-on. The Mantra for Successful implementation of Prime Minister's  Pet Project JSA lies in the concerted efforts from all quarters. Therefore, I fervently request all the stakeholders and general public to step forward and give your helping hand in whatever way possible to  the  various  undertakings of JSA  to solve  water scarcity problem of our district once and for all" he added.

Dr.H.Vanlalhmuliana, Senior Scientist & Head,KVK Siaha Dist, conducted the programme and also expounded at length about JSA  to the gathering public.

  Smt. J.Vanlalhluzuali , Scientist (Agricultural Extension) , KVK Siaha district gave a  Power Point presentation on the Topic of  Water Conservation  with respect to Agriculture and Farmers   and this presentation was followed  suit by brainstroming interaction session wherein Farmers & Scientists have  meaningful and fruitful interaction premised on water conservation.

 Drawing competition on water conservation was held as a part of JSA activities and Certificate along with  incentives cash Award for this competition  were given to 1st-3rd rank holders and consolation prizes to 5 contestants.

JSA Awareness  campaign was also held at 4 villages which situated along Siaha and Tipa Road Viz: Amôbyu Vaithie, Amôbyu, Theiva and Theiri. 

The same kind of Jal Shakti Abhiyan Mela had been conducted for Siaha RD Block too, on the 14th August,2019 at MYA Multipurpose Hall  at Siaha, in the presence of Hon'ble Social welfare Minister Dr.K.Beichhua.

Today's JSA MELA was well attended  by  Tipa towners and nearby villagers.
