Kolasib dated 5th October 2022: As part of the on-going observation of Cleanliness Week 2022 in Kolasib district, members of Kawnpui Town Sanitation Committee organised a visit to the Solid Waste Management Centre at Kolasib today.

The Sanitation team headed by Mr. C. Lalmuan Puia, District Urban Development Officer was led and accompanied to the site by Mr. John LT Sanga, Deputy Commissioner, Mrs. Rebecca Laldinmawii Hrahsel, SDO(C), Kawnpui and Mr. Hmingthanzuala, DIPRO, Kolasib.

Demonstration on the protocol and working procedure maintained at Solid Waste Management Centre was carried out, where it was mentioned that the working efficiency of the Centre was still greatly hampered by the failure of waste segregation at the household level.
