In pursuance of the decision made in the district level meeting held on 22.02.2021, the Vigilance Committee on Bonded Labour System, Khawzawl District today conducted surprise checking at different shops and workplaces within Khawzawl town. 

The Vigilance Committee visited three localities viz. Hermon, Electric and  Vengthar areas and thorougly checked the  possible violation of ‘The Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976 and found no such offences. Pu Lalramenga SDC & Team Leader reiterated that such kind of checkings will be widened covering the whole district to curb the possibility of bonded labour system.

Khawzawl District Vigilance Committee on Bonded Labour System advised the public to refrain from practicing bonded labour system.
