Kolasib District Consultative Committee (DCC), District Level Review Committee (DLRC) & District Level Security Committee had a meeting at DC Conference Hall, Kolasib, discussing on 18 agendas related to the improvement of banking service in the district.

Sangchhin Chinzah, Deputy Commissioner addressed the committee advising them to put their best effort in delivering banking services to the public and to make use of the meeting in finding solutions to curb any hurdles faced by the bankers in the district.

The meeting highlighted on the need to deliver more loans in animal husbandry sectors, the need to display model project report for those who avail PMEGP and way to address the problems of loan applicant without proper documents.

The meeting was convened by Asim Joyti, Lead District Manager, Lead Bank Office Kolasib and assisted by Zinia Baruah, Manager, RBI Aizawl and JD Traite, District Development Manager NABARD Kolasib.

A Credit Deposit (CD) ratio of 46.07% was recorded among the banks of Kolasib district till 31st December, 2019, not reaching the required target of 60%. The overall achievement of Priority Sector advances for the Financial year 2019-20 for the quarter ended December 2019 was 52.28, crossing the required target of 40%. The meeting also pointed out the need to carry out Financial Literacy more vigorously in and around Kolasib district.
