The Kolasib District Integrated Child Protection Services Joint Committee held meeting with Minister K Lalrinliana, Kolasib Assembly Constituency MLA discussing on the importance and functions of Observation Home and the need to allot plot for the construction of permanent Observation Home in the district.

Laltlanmawii, DCPO pointed out that the Observation Home is a facility for juveniles in conflict with the law where the inmates are provided with Counselling services, Vocational training and basic medical services as well. She also mentioned that the Observational Home in Kolasib is presently run by renting a private residence therefore needed to allocate a plot to establishment a permanent Observation Home in the district.
