In Mizoram's fight against Covid-19, many individuals and bodies have come forward with aid, both in cash and kind. One such is the Kolasib Volunteer Group, which yesterday distributed a number of masks, face shields, shoe covers and Personal Protective Equiment sets to the different Local task Forces keeping vigil in and around Kolasib.

The Kolasib Volunteer Group handed over 180 masks to the Polytechnic Quarantine Facility Task Force at Thingdawl, 300 masks and 10 PPE suits to the Kanhmun Task Force and 100 masks to the Task Force on duty at Saikhawthlir. The equipments distributed by the Kolasib Volunteer Group were made by local tailors, who volunteered to stitch the masks and PPE sets for free. All expenses are met with regular donations given to the Volunteer Group by generous residents of Kolasib.
