Dated Khawzawl, the 8th March, 2021: International Women’s Day was observed today by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Khawzawl at KVK Training Hall under the theme ‘Women Leadership in Agriculture; Entrepreneurship, Equity & Empowerment’.

Dr. Henry Saplalrinliana, Senior Scientist & Head KVK Khawzawl while speaking at length about the inconveniences faced by  Migrant Women Workers during the pandemic Covid-19, encouraged the women to utilise the locally available raw materials and come out with ideas which can be income generation and market oriented products.

The programme was chaired by Pi Lalhruaitluangi, Programme Assistant, Home Science. The observance was attended by Self Help Group members from Tualte and Tuipui villages wherein the attendees were given training on preparation of Tomato sause, hand sanitizer and face mask.
