Lawngtlai DC declares 3 VC areas within Lawngtlai town as containment areas

Lawngtlai, 16th October, 2020: Subsequent upon detection of two new positive cases in Lawngtlai Vengpui-II Village Council area and Electric Veng Village Council area, Deputy Commissioner Lawngtlai Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika today declared three village council areas within Lawngtlai town, namely - Vengpui, Vengpui-II and Electric Veng village council areas as containment areas under regulation 11(1)(b) of The Mizoram Epidemic Diseases (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020 to ensure fast and smooth contact tracing.

Movement in and out the containment areas is prohibited except for those given permission by the Deputy Commissioner or by the concerned VLTFs, Medical and Security personnel on duty and media personnel. However, main roads passing through these areas will remain open. The order is to remain effective until further orders.
