Lawngtlai DC orders VLTFs not to impose separate restrictions and guidelines

Lawngtlai, the 14th November, 2020: On learning that Village Level Task Force (VLTF) of certain villages within Lawngtlai District have been demanding COVID-19 Free Certificate for entering/staying at their villages and also imposing quarantine on those coming/returning from other villages, the Deputy Commissioner Lawngtlai Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika issued an order today prohibiting such acts on the part of VLTFs.

The order also forbids imposition of lockdown by VLTFs without knowledge and consent of the competent authorities, namely the Chief Secretary and the concerned Deputy Commissioners as authorised by The Mizoram Epidemic Diseases (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020.
