Aizawl, the 22nd March 2025 : Labour, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar today graced the Young Indians North East Regional Council Meeting held at Aijal Club in Aizawl today where youth leaders and Chapter Chairs of various North Eastern states came together to deliberate on various initiatives of Young Indians Movement.

Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar said that the Young Indians movement has been active in fostering leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation particularly among the youth across the country  and mentioned that its impact on the youth of Mizoram and other North Eastern states has been significant by being an enabling force in transforming young lives. He noted that the mentorship, networking and exposure provided through Young Indians are vital for young professionals preparing to take on global challenges. He said that he had seen young entrepreneurs from Mizoram turn their ideas into successful ventures through the support and mentorship provided by the network and mentioned that the initiatives of Young Indians align closely with Mizoram’s vision for youth empowerment.

He spoke about the skill and talent of Mizo youth and said that Mizoram potential as a hub for skilled professionals is growing. He further said that the achievements of youth of Northeastern states in various fields today is proof that our youth are long longer just mere participants but they can be change makers shaping the future of the country. He also highlighted varied roles of Young Indians in transforming the Northeastern region. He urged all stakeholders – government bodies, industry leaders and young entrepreneurs to strengthen their collaboration with Young Indians for the common shared journey towards a skilled and entrepreneurial North East India.

North East Regional Council Meeting was chaired by Young Indians Chapter Chair – Mizoram Pu Robert Rohmingliana; Young Indians Regional Chair – Northeast Pi Christine L Sailo and National Vice Chairman Young Indians Shri Arun Rathod also addressed the meeting. The meeting deliberated on 14 varied presentations besides sharing of Best Pratices from some of the State Chapters.

Young Indians ( Yi ) is a movement for Indian youth to converge, ead, co-Create and influence India’s future as an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). It has more than 7000 Members under more than 70 Chapters across the country.
