Lunglei District has received 1 (one) Maruti Suzuki Eeco Van Ambulance worth Rs. 6,70,740/- (Rupees six lakhs seventy thousand seven hundred and fourty) from Powergrid Corporation of India Limited under Corporate Social Responsibility.

The Ambulance was handed over to Chief Medical Officer, Lunglei District Dr LC Liana at a short function held at Lunglei DC Conference Hall yesterday.

Thanking POWERGRID for their CSR intervention, Lunglei DC Pu Kulothungan A stated that the presence of this much-needed Ambulance will enable quicker transportation of and response to patients requiring emergency healthcare, thereby raising the standard of healthcare delivery in the District.

Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei District on behalf of the District Administration extended his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Powergrid Corporation of India Limited and the following officials in particular for this noble gesture.

This is the third ambulance received under CSR by Lunglei District in the recent months. On 13th October, 2021 National Projects Construction Corporation Ltd. (NPCC) had donated Type C Ambulance worth Rs. 20 lakhs. On 2nd December 2021 ABCI Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd (Pkg-6) had donated Maruti Suzuki Eeco Van Ambulance to the District.
