Aizawl, the 25th November 2021: Shri Kulothungan A, IAS, Deputy Commissioner after assessment of healthcare delivery infrastructure of Lunglei District, Mizoram had felt the need for enhancing healthcare delivery in various branches/units. In pursuance of this he had put in effort for ways and means of improving healthcare infrastructure in Lunglei District from Various NGO foundations/companies/corporations of India and abroad.

Medical equipments comprising of 6 Oxygen Concentrators, 8 Glucometers, 5 Pulse Oximeters, 5 Thermometers, 3 ICU Para Monitors, 2 Nebulizers, 3 Digital BP Apparatus and 300 PPE Kits, worth Rs. 10 lakhs was recently received from HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INDIA, MUMBAI through Corporate Social Responsibility. The items were handed over to Dr Lalramzauva, Director, Medical & Health Department, BCM to be utilized at Christian Hospital Serkawn and Baptist Covid Care Centre (BCCC).

The Baptist Covid Care Centre (BCCC) Serkawn, is a healthcare facility set up by the Baptist Church of Mizoram (BCM) specifically to treat Covid-19 positive patients. It is located at Serkawn locality in Lunglei town, Lunglei District, and has the distinction of being the first and only Covid Care Centre run by a religious institution in Mizoram . The 23 bedded BCCC was inaugurated on the 28th of July, 2021.

Shri Kulothungan A, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei District expressed his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the people to HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INDIA, MUMBAI who selflessly lend their helping hands to the people of Mizoram (Lunglei District) in these trying times.
