Aizawl the 26th November, 2021 : Hnahthial DEF, led by Superintendent of Police Pu Lalbiakkila, held a crime review meeting yesterday at the SP Office Chamber to discuss law & order arrangements, and other aspects of policing within Hnahthial District.

Addressing the gathering, SP Pu Lalbiakkila appreciated the hard work and dedication put in by members of Hnahthial DEF, and emphasized on the need for effective communication and coordination between different branches. He also advised all police personnel to handle cases with sensitivity and empathy, and always put citizens’ welfare first while discharging their duties. The SP also underlined the importance of maintaining good relations with VCs, NGOs, Government Departments & other organizations in the District.

At the meeting, it was highlighted that during the current calendar year (January - October), there have been a total of 20 cases registered in Hnahthial District, which is 5 cases less than the total figure of 25 cases for the same time frame last year. There have been no POCSO or murder cases in the District during the year. The figures for cases registered under ND&PS Act & The Mizoram Liquor (Prohibition) Act stands at 2 and 3 respectively. Hnahthial Traffic Police has also collected a total fine of Rs.86,650/- during the calendar year (January - October).

(3) Thingsai Police Station.
(4) S.Vanlaiphai Police Out-Post.
