Lunglei, July 21, 2025: The Lunglei District TB Forum, led by Deputy Commissioner Pi Navneet Mann, held a review meeting today at the DC Conference Hall to assess the ongoing TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and the 100 Days TB Campaign launched on May 20.

The meeting was attended by government officials, NGOs, media representatives, TB champions and the State TB Team headed by Dr Zochhuanawmi, Joint Director & State TB Officer. District TB Officer Dr. K. Lalhmachhuana presented the progress report, highlighting that screening and awareness activities had been conducted across 27 villages, covering 7,684 vulnerable individuals. Among them, 1,937 underwent X-ray screening, 482 were tested using NAAT, with 48 TB cases detected.

So far in 2025, 88 TB cases have been notified in Lunglei District. The forum emphasised strengthening local partnerships, encouraging support for TB patients through the Nikshay Mitra initiative, and improving data collaboration with private health facilities for better TB management and care.
