Mamit 24th March 2021 : Mamit Aspirational District today Celebrated World TB Day 2021- with the theme "The Clock is ticking" at Kumtluang Hall CMO Office, Mamit with H. Lalzirliana Hon'ble  MLA as the Chief Guest.

As per TB National Strategic Plan 2017-2025 India strive to become a TB-free country 5 years ahead UNDG declaration. This is a big challenge because of the presence of almost 40 percent of TB patients of the world in India. However with National TB Elimination Programme(NTEP)-  free medication and cash insentive are provided to TB patients to fight the disease, said the Chief Guest.

Dr Lalrozama, IAS DC Mamit was also present in the programme sharing words of appreciation to the concern TB health Workers. Dr. Lalmuanawma Jongte, District TB Officer presented reports on various steps and development with the status on TB elimination programme within Mamit District.  

In the programme a cake cutting moment was observed by the Chief Guest to mark the success of being the first position of all the districts towards fighting TB in Mizoram.

Lalfawnliana Cured  MDR TB, TB Champion also shared his experiences of fighting this TB Disease.

Dr. Lalrinfela H, MO-TC ended the programme by  proposing a Vote of thanks for all the attendees of the programme.
