A mass cleanliness drive ‘Leitlangpui Faina Hnatlangpui’ was held at Lunglei today to celebrate the ‘Overall Cleanest Town’ & ‘1^st Rank for District Headquarter’ Prizes won by Lunglei at the recently concluded state wide ‘Cleanliness Competition in Urban Mizoram - 2020’ organized by the UD&PA Department.

Lunglei Sanitation Task Force Chairman Pu R.Vanrengpuia kicked off the event at 10:00 am today at the DC Office grounds. While thanking the Line Departments & NGOs, VCs and the general public for their contribution towards a cleaner Lunglei town, he reminded them that this is only the initial first step, and that sustained and more aggressive steps need to be taken for a cleaner and greener Lunglei town.

Attendees at the kick off program also took a pledge to maintain and promote cleanliness in Lunglei.

All 24 town area VCs have called for a mass participation at the Leitlangpui Faina Hnatlangpui with one member each from every household taking part in the cleanliness drive.
