KVK, Siaha District organised  Mass Tree Plantation Drive &  Kishan Gosthi here at Siaha ,Today.

Dr.H.Vanlalhmuliana, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK , Siaha district presided over a brief start-off meeting of the mass tree plantation drive.

Shri. Zoramthanga, District Agriculture Officer, Siaha District and Shri. Vansanga, Divisional Horticulture Officer also deligently participated in today's  mass tree plantation drive.

The volunteers from Farmers of Siahatla VC-I,II, &III and  Youths  Front of various churches at Siahatla locality who have turned up for  mass tree plantation were instructed the importance of afforestation, preservation of our Forest and green vegetation by Scientists of KVK, Siaha.  Moreover, proper method of  sapling plantation and its aftercare for  optimimum survival was also demonstrated by concerned officials. All members of participating volunteers planted two saplings each.

Environment & Forest Department, MADC provided tree saplings free of cost.
